What you actually control
| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
| Click and drag | Draws a line that becomes a solid piece of the level |
| Release | Ends the line. The car then sets off |
| Yellow button, top right | Restarts the level |
Minute by minute
Minute 1. Level 1 is a narrow gap in a brick floor. A dotted arc shows roughly where the car needs help.
Minute 2. Draw a line across the gap and let go. Watch what the line does before the car arrives.
Minute 3. It probably fell in. Restart with the yellow arrow.
Minutes 4 and 5. Draw wider, so both ends rest on brick. Level 2 swaps the gap for two stacked blocks.
The mistake that ends first runs
Drawing a line the width of the gap. Ours dropped straight to the bottom of the hole. A line only stays up if both ends sit on solid ground. A second line landed tilted, and the car rolled down it nose first and stuck.
Good to know
- Do not start the line above the car. Ours ended up resting on its roof.
- The gear and STORE buttons only show before you draw.
- A cleared level pays 11 in cash, or 55 for watching a video. After a failure the game offers a skip for a video; saying no resets the level.
Skip it if
One line is too little to play with. Draw The Road is by the same studio, with a bike.
That is the short version. The long one, with every screen we saw and the questions people ask about it, is in our Draw Bridge review.
