BCG Browser Car Games by Mava Games

Twenty-two free car games, and what to do in your first five minutes

Most browser car games explain nothing. You press play, crash, and close the tab. These are our notes on twenty-two of them: what you really control, the mistake that ends most first runs, and how far we got ourselves.

We are the team behind Mava Games. We played each of these in a desktop browser before writing a line, and where we did badly we say so. Every game here is free, runs without a download, and can be played on our site.

Pick by what you want to do

Hands off the wheel

The car drives itself. You plan the route or pick the moment.

Keep it upright

Physics games where the vehicle, or what it carries, wants to fall over.

Straight-line speed

No corners. Launches, lanes and traffic.

Ramps and stunts

Tracks in the air, with nothing at the edge.

Crash on purpose

Sandboxes where wrecking the car is the point.

Cars with a ball

Football, played by ramming a ball with a car.

All of them side by side

Three things these games have in common

Holding the accelerator is rarely the answer. In Eggy Car it throws the egg off. In Crazy Motorcycle it spins the wheel against a ledge. In Nitro Ball and Bouncy Motors it does nothing at all for a car on its roof. The first lesson in most of them is to let go of the key.

Restart is cheaper than rescue. Several of these offer a video to resume a run or skip a level. In our sessions a plain restart always got us back faster than we expected, and none of the games needs the video to progress.

Leaderboards are not always what they look like. Eggy Car only keeps your own best. Crazy Motorcycle shows a board whose names changed each time we loaded it. Play against your last run.
