What you actually control
| Input | What it does |
|---|---|
| Drag a tile | Moves an arrow from the tray, or from the board, to a road square |
| GO! button | Starts the car |
The arrow keys do nothing. This is a mouse or touch game.
Minute by minute
Minute 1. Level 1 is the tutorial. A hand drags one arrow onto the corner of an L-shaped road, then points at GO!. Copy it.
Minute 2. Before level 2, find the small white marker on the car’s nose. It shows which way the car sets off.
Minute 3. Trace the road from the car to the blue GARAGE and count the bends. In the levels we played, the tray held exactly one arrow per bend.
Minutes 4 and 5. Put each arrow on the square where the road changes direction, pointing the new way. Then press GO!.
The mistake that ends first runs
Putting an arrow on a straight stretch. On level 2 we dropped the up arrow right in front of a car that was already heading up. It changed nothing, and it was the arrow we needed at the far end. If you have a tile left over, one of your arrows is in the wrong place.
Good to know
- A wrong route costs nothing. The tiles go back to the tray and the board resets. We saw no lives and no score.
- Each arrow has its own coloured frame, so you can tell directions apart at a glance.
- The counter reads Level 1 / 49 from the start.
Skip it if
You want to drive. If you like the idea but prefer timing to planning, Circle Car is the reflex version of the same hands-off deal.
That is the short version. The long one, with every screen we saw and the questions people ask about it, is in the full Arrow Parking review.
