Minute by minute
Minute 1. Before pressing Play, read the faint grey list in the top right corner of the menu. It is the full key list, and the game never shows it again in a bigger size.
Minute 2. Pick the green map. The snowy one carries a padlock.
Minute 3. Drive off the dirt track. Grass, pine trees, white pipes and rocks are all open ground.
Minutes 4 and 5. Find the loop on the hillside, then start looking for stars. The counter at the top reads 0 of 11.
The mistake that ends first runs
Restarting when the car lands on its roof. You do not need to. R rolls it back onto its wheels and K restores it where it stands.
Good to know
- The stars are the only goal the map sets. Everything else is your own idea.
- B slows time, which is the best way to look at a crash.
- The same developer made Racing: Destruction and Chase.
Skip it if
You need a target to enjoy driving. Car Crash Sandbox gives you one from the first second.
That is the short version. The long one, with every screen we saw and the questions people ask about it, is in our Car Smash Simulator review.
