| A / D or side arrows | Steer |
| S or Down | Brake and reverse |
| Left Shift | Nitro |
| R | Repairs the car and puts it back on the track |
| C | Change camera |
With two players, the first uses W A S D and the second the arrow keys, according to the game’s listings.
Minute by minute
Minute 1. Choose Mega Ramps and 1P. The other modes are Face to Face and Color Land.
Minute 2. Pick a car. The garage shows seven, one at a time.
Minute 3. Only level 1 is open. Wait for the countdown and go. The left edge of the screen lists the keys during every level.
Minutes 4 and 5. Lose it once, as we did, then win it. Our winning run took well under a minute of the clock.
The mistake that ends first runs
Using nitro on the half-pipes. They curve up at the sides, and the faster you go the easier it is to ride up a wall and off the track. Save it for flat platforms. Our fastest moment was 164 km/h on one.
Good to know
- Press R the moment you land wrong. The clock keeps running while a car lies on its roof.
- There is no gear key. The number in the speedometer climbs on its own.
- Mega Ramps has 13 levels, unlocked one at a time.
Skip it if
You want a track with rails. Nothing here has them, and neither does Turbo Stunt Racing.
That is the short version. The long one, with every screen we saw and the questions people ask about it, is in the full GT Cars Mega Ramps guide.
